Stylist Steven Schelling has just the sort of packing strategy for a two-day business trip that I love: Dress up the basics with jewellery.

Using a black-and-white colour scheme, he manages to squeeze four looks into one carry-on bag. Two for travelling, one for the office, and one for evening. 

I like his clothing choices. But for jewellery, I’d liven up the casual travelling look with layers of silver chains, including some whimsical bits and bobs.

 

For the black suit I’d want some pearls I could wear short or long.  Maybe in grey, with an amethyst accent.

Or possibly a soft pink.

 

 

For evening, I often want a little sparkle. I’m a sucker for pyrite.
